Monthly Updates

Plans for February 2015

At the start of every month I like to look back and see what I have done, and then look forward to all the organization, renovation and DIY projects ahead.

I’ve dedicated the post on the first weekend of each month to talk about my plans for the upcoming month, and to review what I accomplished the month prior.  Well, considering I’ve only begun blogging regularly for the past two weeks, I can say that I don’t have anything to compare to for January.  We are slowly plugging away at the last minor updates on the kitchen renovation (and I have of course started posting about the renovation process from the beginning here).  Other than continuing to write about the kitchen progress, on and off the blog, what will I be doing in February?

Next Saturday is Valentine’s Day!  Yay! (Cue pink and red and hearts and chocolate and candy and love, etc!).  I was originally going to do some sort of themed craft that I would use to decorate my home (and blog about it), but alas, I couldn’t think of a good idea, and will be writing about our garage door repair/installation instead.  In case you missed it, my garage door spontaneously broke and I posted a picture on Instagram.

I’ll be attending the Sudbury Home Show the last weekend of the month, and will make sure to post about all the great things there.  I am looking forward to making a few contacts, and am actually in the search of a carpenter and a concrete person (concreter? is that a word?) for some upcoming projects around the house that we cannot tackle ourselves.  I think I was out of town last year and missed the show… sooo it will actually be my first time!  Very exciting!

It’s full on winter outside, so I am spending a lot of time indoors (other than the daily dog walks and having to leave the house for work, I try to avoid the outside whenever I can).  This weekend, I plan on going through all my clothes and donating what I no longer wear or what doesn’t fit, and just doing the usual house upkeep and cleaning.  So, although my agenda looks empty for some reason, I should have enough work and things to do to propel me into March, spring is coming!
