I’m a little strange, I know this. My mother would say I’m OCD (I’m not actually) and people who know me well might know that I can be a bit… controlling? Not bossy, but more like I want things a certain way… and it’s a bit hard to change my mind. But the problem is, that once I get an idea, and have told people, it’s because I’ve already been thinking about it for a long time. Let me explain a bit more …

I’m a planner. I plan out what I’m going to talk about on this blog way ahead of time, I plan out my trips or weekend activities (sometimes months in advance) and some days I even plan out my schedule by the hour so I’m more productive.
The Husband, he’s not a planner. He’ll make plans and not tell me until the last minute (or worse, won’t tell me so I have no idea where he is). “Oh don’t you remember I went here”… umm no, how can I remember something if you didn’t tell me in the first place?
For people who know me, they know that they have to book my time in advance. Not because I’m super popular or anything, but more that I like to know things as soon as possible so I can arrange everything. I am spontaneous sometimes (okay just kidding, I mean that the Husband forces me to go places) but for the most part, I plan.
Which brings me to the point of this post!
So there’s this thing… and I’ve known about it for a while (over two months actually) but I didn’t tell anyone.
I did tell the Husband of course, and let me tell you… he told a lot of people!
Which frustrated/infuriated me, because of the possibility that something bad could happen, and he would then have to let everyone know. I didn’t want to go through this, and I guess I prefer to keep things internalized until I know for certain what’s what.
But don’t get me wrong, I did drop a few hints :)
On Instagram on October 16th, I mentioned I needed an obscene amount of crackers “for reasons”
On November 9th I went to the library and picked up a few books.
I may have went a little crazy at the library today, but I didn’t know that the books I had on hold would be in yet. Going to have the step up the reading this month, but that’s totally cool – I love an excuse to lounge around in a blanky :) A photo posted by Q-Schmitz Home Design & DIY (@qschmitzdesign) on
Can you see the book sneakily half-hidden on the bottom?
For those who don’t follow me on Instagram and are upset that you didn’t get these, I’ve just recently started sharing the same pics on my Facebook Page, so make sure to follow me on one (or both!) if you want the whole scoop.
November 27th on Facebook I used some specifically chosen words…
Fun Friday Food Fact:I’ve got some buns in the oven (literally)!Cooking these buns I shared last week:…

Now, if you haven’t figured it out by the end of this post, please do not become a detective because you would not solve any crimes. Know what I mean?
AND I swear, if anyone who has seen me the last couple of months says “Oh I knew it”, I do reserve the right to give you a stare down because I still look the exact same, as evidenced by my Instagram photo last night:
Which I purposefully posted for this reason :)
(I think anyone who wants to wear a belly button ring can, but I will have to take mine out in a few months anyways.)
See you guys back next week for your regularly schedule programming!
