A quick post today to talk about a new business we started for custom steel fabrication! Since I’m showing off this growth chart as a product offering example, I wanted to title the post “we’re growing” (but I didn’t want to give the wrong impression that we are growing our family… ha!). Let me share a bit of a background story, and a few more pictures of the baby growth chart.
For those who aren’t aware, the Husband has a fabrication shop (that I helped makeover last spring). While he mostly focuses on large scale builds (think machines), he’s also offered smaller custom projects to local businesses.
My background is in multimedia design and I’ve helped design a couple of other things he’s built, but we’ve just decided to venture into some new territory by offering some pre-designed products.
You know, like baby growth charts and what not!
We’re still fairly new business-wise, but you might remember that we had a custom steel sign for our wedding, way back when.
You can visit our website at KennvilleCustom.ca, and we even setup an Etsy shop.
The name is actually a combination of the Husband’s first name (Kenn), and my maiden name (Quenneville). Clever right!?
We’ll definitely be adding more products as we go (yay tables!), but for now we just have a small collection of things we’ve made, photographed and can be ordered asap.
I was originally thinking of leaving our baby growth chart as plain steel (to show off the material), but the Husband decided to paint it white. It really matches our bathroom that way! Oh, and I added Zachary’s height this morning, but let’s just say that getting a toddler to stand still while you measure his height is hard work! I wanted to get him in a picture too, but that little man was gone as soon as I let him go…
I’m planning on measuring his height every year on his birthday (kind of late this year, oops!), and eventually we’ll add more little lines as our family grows. I installed the baby growth chart in our main bathroom, and it’s right in front of the scale – so it’s a good “measuring” zone, ha!
Don’t forget to check out our website at KennvilleCustom.ca, and our Etsy shop too!
Let me know if there is anything we can add, and I’ll make sure to update you guys on how our new business is going :)
