I’m stepping into the New Year with a look back at the popular posts for 2021. Once again, I’ll be sharing the top posts overall, the top posts I wrote in 2021, and even some of my favourites. Let’s get to it!
If this is your first time visiting the Madness and Method blog, welcome! I’ve been writing this blog since 2015, so you can check out the past popular lists here: 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
I also did a recap on our yearly projects here AND shared what my plans for 2022 are here.
Without further ado, let’s get to the popular posts!
Top 5 Madness and Method Blog Posts (Overall)
- Painting vs. Whitewashing Panelling (2016)
- Sand Chipped Glassware (2016)
- Patch Gaps in Laminate Floors (2016)
- How to Smooth Grout Lines (2018)
- Building a Single Step with Brackets (2015)
It’s always interesting to see how the popular posts change (or don’t change) throughout the years. From this list, you could argue that the older posts do much better, ha.
2021 Popular Posts
- Wall Treatments: Wood vs MDF
- Rainbow Unicorn Orange Cake Recipe
- Family Pokémon Character Costumes
- Wraparound Headboard DIY
- RAST Hack: 2 Nightstands
It will be interesting to see how these posts make it (ie: if they can break the top 5) next year. Two of those projects were from the kids’ bedroom makeover in the Spring.
Just for fun, I also wanted to highlight some of my favourite posts from this year:
Nicole’s Favourite 2021 Blog Posts
- Kitchen Moodboard (and YouTube series)
- Painted Hex Floors
- Kitchen, Kids’ Bedroom, Basement reveals!
- Flocking our purple Christmas tree
And remember, I did recap a lot of other posts and projects from 2021 here. Of course, you could always just click back on the blog to see everything :)
So tell me, did you favourite post make the list? And if you’re a new reader… did you find me from one of the popular posts!?
I’m excited for the projects that we have coming up, and I hope you do too :)
