The start of the month of November around here usually means to batten down the hatches and get ready for winter. (We’ve already had our first snow, but thankfully it didn’t stay!). Temperatures are finally cooler and more seasonal compared to the heat we had in September, and I’ve already enjoyed a few hot chocolates :) Let’s look at a recap of last month, shall we?

We’ve been doing a lot of work in our garage this past month and I’ve shared the design plans, written a work to-do list, painted it (100% done as of yesterday!), and gotten the concrete (finally) installed. I’m hoping to get the bulk of the work that’s leftover done this weekend… wish me luck!
The mister went trick-or-treating for the first time this year, so it was interesting to see what types of goodies the neighbours give out. He had a little baggie, visited around 5 houses, and it was already bursting! Not sure if they gave him extra for being so cute, but he did get a lot of little treats that I can let him eat (ie: crackers).
I finished Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl and Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. Right now, I am in the middle of reading How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. (PS: I totally keep a list of books I want to read and have read, way easier to remember that way!).

Garbage/recycling in the garage
We didn’t have too many things in our garage that we don’t use (other than all the stuff I knew I had to get rid of anyways). I’m hoping once we’re done that project, it will be a much more organized area!
* Will be getting rid of these now
Plans for the Month of November
We’ll hopefully be done the garage makeover either this weekend or next weekend, and we have a few work projects that we’re trying to finish in that time as well. After that, I’d like to give the basement a good cleaning, and finally finish the last couple of coats of paint on the living room side.
By then it will be the start of December, so that means decorating for Christmas – yay!
How’s your month of November looking? Is it a big cleanup and unwind time before the holiday rush? Let me know!
